4score, normally I'd ask that you start a new topic so we don't end up with multiple topics on one thread...however, why announce to the world that you are interested in this camera!
Yes, if it is in good shape, it's a very cool camera to own...however, you should e-mail the seller and ask them what their reserve is. (note the "reserve not met yet" comment)
You will have to make at least that much of a bid in order to win the camera. I recommend going a few dollars above the reserve (assuming you can afford it)
I have so many cameras right now, if you think you need one, let me know, and I'll figure out if I can "spare a square". (a Seinfeld quote)
by the way, if you use the Hostboard banner to access ebay, and then bid on the camera, Hostboard gets a tiny tiny share of e-bay's take (the price stays the same to you)

Well...I'm fairly new, so I'm not quite sure what options are "necessary". I want to have enough capability to grow with the camera if you know what I mean.
Thanks a bunch...

Chris, these are features i find necessary:
24 frames per second (fps).
Maunual (or at least lockable) exposure.
Built-in filters are nice (and very often included).
Zoom objective... i love to use 'em as light spot meter.

I do have a conundrum in offering you a camera.
I have lots of cameras that I have bought on ebay that I never checked by running a cartridge of film through.
It would behoove me to run 5-10 feet of film through
each camera (otherwise I would go broke testing all of my cameras if I shot one cartridge per roll).
however, the way I would want to do it requires me to shoot a picture slate of each camera (so I know which camera I am using), and frankly, it would easily take me one to two days to go through my cameras.
I will do this...but I don't forsee doing this in the next week or so

Some of the coolest, less expensive super-8 cameras are the Bauer Royal-6E, 8E or 10E series.
